Connexions Thames Valley: About Us

The Connexions Thames Valley Group comprises three delivery companies - Connexions Berkshire, Connexions Buckinghamshire and Connexions Oxfordshire with an underpinning company, Connexions Thames Valley. Each of the companies has its own Independent Chair and Board of Trustees drawn from the local area including young people, local authorities, voluntary and community sector, schools, colleges, police, Jobcentre Plus and health. This model ensures that decisions made by local stakeholders have a direct impact on the young people of that area.

Connexions Thames Valley has four committees populated by Trustees from the three delivery companies:

Business Development Committee to include review of projects funded by business development activity;
Personnel Committee;
Finance Committee;
Audit Committee.

We always try to work on consensus and ensure that all Trustees have the chance to contribute and express their opinion. All Boards and Committees have young Trustees on them and we work especially hard to ensure that their voices are heard and that they have a genuine opportunity to influence all decisions.

All four of the Connexions Thames Valley Group companies are registered charities in their own right.
